BEAR & RAGGED STAFF: IDEAS OF THE RURAL

From 14-17 November we bring together a group of artists based in or with deep connections to rural Warwickshire to reflect upon, and respond to, the impact Conceptual Art has had since Art & Language formed and based their collective practice in the county in the late 60s and 70s.

Join us at our Potluck Breakfast on Wednesday 14th or Open Studio at The Glasshouse, Jephson Gardens in Leamington on Thursday 15th to find out more. On Saturday 17 November, we also hold a seminar and workshop exploring the role critical thinking has played in artistic practices which take place away from cities.

The Art of Artists’ Books

Artists’ Books occupy a unique position within contemporary art, they are simultaneously an art object – comparable to a painting, sculpture or video – but are also often cheaply produced and widely distributed. Minton Robot – Kickstarter reward update

We’ve worked closely with Simon Poulter a lot over the past 18 months. We are delighted to be offering limited edition risograph prints which he has produced as a reward for our current crowdfunding campaign. Money raised through our current campaign will fund a series of commissions by artists from Coventry and Warwickshire as a part of Coventry Biennial of Contemporary Art 2019.
