Communiqué Two: DO IT YOURSELF!

We are delighted to release the second in our series of semi-regular communiqués that introduce and share the ideas, people, places and programmes that will form a large part of Coventry Biennial 2021: HYPER-POSSIBLE.
This second communiqué is a new form of group exhibition, presenting several newly commissioned artworks that share instructions to be carried out in homes, gardens and neighborhoods while access to galleries and museums is still not possible. The introduction to this exhibition and each of the artworks can be read, downloaded and shared from the links below (labeled A, B, C, D1 and D2), or print copies can be requested by emailing us on this address.
Included in this issue is a short text on engaging with instructional or participatory artworks, written during the Covid-19 lockdown, followed by brief introductions to Ania Bas, oho_co, sirenscrossing and melissandre varin who are the four local, women and non-binary artists that we have commissioned to make artworks for DO IT YOURSELF!
