Herbert Art Gallery & Museum
The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum
The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum is managed by the Culture Coventry charitable trust.
Formed in October 2013 the trust brought together three of Coventry’s finest museums and visitor attractions Coventry Transport Museum, the award-winning Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and The Lunt Roman Fort. Between them, the Culture Coventry attractions proudly tell stories of Coventry’s unique history to over 800,000 visitors per year from around the world.
The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum collections include works by iconic modern artists such as L.S. Lowery, Graham Sutherland, Gustav Metzger and Henry Moore alongside works by internationally significant contemporary practitioners including Mona Hatoum, Barbara Walker and Coventry’s most famous artist of recent years, George Shaw.
These collections are supported by a range of temporary and touring exhibitions which have recently presented works by Andy Warhol, Grayson Perry and Stewart Easton.
