You are viewing an archived event. This event has already taken place.

Lisa began Holding Time after breastfeeding struggles with her first child. The project is an experimental mix of documentary, photography and animation, designed as an arts and health intervention, city to city, reaching new audiences whilst building better community understanding of breastfeeding.

Lisa’s talk covers not only her work but everything from the challenges of financial management, goal setting and strategies for funding. She has two decades of experience in producing, marketing, managing and budgeting projects and has an extremely pragmatic approach to life as an artist and mother. Bring along your most difficult questions for some on the spot troubleshooting!

Open to any kind of maker, and any kind of mother. Children are welcome to attend with you.

This event is in person at Coventry Artspace’s City Arcadia Gallery and will also be live-streamed here.

Spaces to physically attend the talk and tour will be limited, so please book via email to motherswhomakecov@gmail.com

All events are Pay As You Feel – payment details shared following booking.

About Mothers Who Make Coventry

Mothers Who Make is a fast-growing international initiative aimed at supporting mothers who are artists. Every kind of maker is welcomed and every kind of mother.

For the past two years, the local Mothers Who Make hub in Coventry has been co-facilitated by local artist and mother, Adele Mary Reed. Over the past year she has facilitated the hub independently within a strong collective framework. Following a successful collaboration in 2019, we have renewed our partnership so that Adele can to continue deliver Mothers Who Make in the city.

Further information about the national Mothers Who Make network can be found here.
