“How welcoming is the city to our care-giving and artist-dreaming needs? What do we require from a beautiful, accessible city centre garden?”
This session will provide a chance to hear about our evolving Mothers Who Make a Garden project & share ideas around what we would like and need from a beautiful and welcoming city centre garden through the lens of our roles as both artists and mothers.
The session will be facilitated by Adele Reed and we are delighted to be joined by talented Coventry-based mother and gardener Alice Wood who is supporting us in the creation of the garden.
Throughout the session we will reflect on how literature, art and friendships influence garden design.
Join us to paint a picture, draw a plan, make a collage, read a book extract, write a poem or to share some seeds. This is an open space to dream within an inclusive peer support setting.
Stay for the duration or drop-in when suits you, do whatever you need to do, your care-giving and creative roles will be treated with equal respect. Mothers Who Make events are adult focused however kids are totally welcome and child-friendly materials and toys will be provided.
The fruits of the meeting will be collated into a zine publication.
