The Pod is known for its vegan cuisine and determination to cultivate new ideas, connecting people and opportunities and nurturing change-makers in the city.
Edinburgh-based artist and ‘cosmoecologist’ Alix Villanueva is interested in the use of the strange and the folkloric within ecological thought.
As a part of her residency across The Pod’s diverse sites, Alix is presenting the CV5 Ceilidh.
From 3.30 visitors will be taking part in the work party, joining the allotment session, contributing to the growth and harvesting of crops. Then from 5.30pm – 7pm, we will build a bonfire and share stories, readings, songs, ceilidh-style!
Ceilidhs are Scottish and Irish social gatherings, which, contrary to popular belief, are not solely about dancing. They often involve storytelling and sharing with one another.
Participants are encouraged to bring stories, songs or poems to share.
