Yva Jung is a visual artist based in Hertfordshire. Yva studied Fine Art in Seoul and New York before receiving her practice-led PhD from Slade School of Fine Art. Yva has been awarded many grants including from Arts Council England and Arts Council Korea and her work has been exhibited in contemporary art institutions globally including CAFAM Biennale (China), König London (UK), Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival (UK) and the St Albans Museum (UK).
While Developing Coventry Biennial 2023 Yva spent a focused period of time on site at Meter Room, Coventry, in April. This allowed her to test materials and ideas towards the development of new work combining drawing, text and painting to be presented this year.
