Djuna O’Neill is a London-based Irish artist who works across text, digital mediums and mixed media sculpture. Her current works draw on themes of Irish folklore, concepts of world building found in gaming environments and science fiction, and utilises the hauntological as a tool for exhuming untold stories and building future imaginaries.
Through a combination of technologies of digital reconstruction and image making with analogue formats, Djuna’s practice conveys an archeology of mediums of storytelling, the threads of folklore have continued from one intangible form to another.
Djuna has collaborated with other artists to create audio visual works and participated in independent screenings, exhibitions and sound art events.
