Get involved in the City’s Programme: A Coventry Biennial Fringe!

Coventry Biennial attracts local, national and international audiences who are eager to see lots of art and to learn more about our local area. With this in mind, we are pleased to be coordinating a pilot of a new Coventry Biennial fringe called the City’s Programme!
The City’s Programme aims to spotlight creative, diverse and impactful projects that resonate with the 2025 Biennial’s themes around collections and archives while fostering meaningful connections between artists, audiences, and the city.
Applications will be reviewed by a judging panel, with selections being made based on criteria including:
- Artistic ambition and excellence
- Relevance to the themes of Coventry Biennial 2025
- Operational viability
Additional considerations our judges will take include the proposed project’s contribution to Coventry’s social and cultural life, its engagement with contemporary artistic discourse, efforts to address underrepresentation in the visual arts, social justice impact, provision of safe and fair working conditions, and its geographic location within the city.
Successful applicants will be required to contribute £500 to the City’s Programme, ensuring a shared investment in the programme’s reach, impact and success.
This approach ensures a dynamic and inclusive programme that reflects our commitment to the local area, artistic innovation and community engagement.
