Announcing: The Obsessions, Possessions Venues

We’re pleased to announce that the Coventry Biennial 2025 exhibitions will take place in a wide range of museums and galleries as well as significant historic sites across Coventry.
We had previously shared that four major exhibitions will be presented at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, but as is traditional for our exhibitions programme, the Biennial will extend far beyond the confines of the gallery!
We’re pleased to be working with Historic Coventry Trust to present a significant and dynamic group exhibition in The Coach House, an unused historic building in the grounds of the Charterhouse Heritage Park. Located just a 15 minute walk away from the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, this unique venue will offer artists and audiences alike an exciting experience.

“We are delighted to make the historic Coach House available as a unique venue for Coventry Biennial and are looking forward to welcoming the artists and new audiences to Charterhouse Heritage Park where they can also visit (the National Trust’s) Charterhouse House and Gardens as well as the wider Heritage Park.”
We’re additionally excited to be working with Art Riot Collective for the first time and will be presenting a co-created and participatory exhibition in their newly developed gallery space at Fargo Village, alongside their innovate and impactful supported studio.
The final two exhibition venues within the Coventry Biennial 2025 programme are the iconic Coventry Cathedral and Coventry University‘s futuristic Delia Derbyshire Building, we have presented exhibitions in each of these venues in the past, but are excited to be working with artists and curatorial colleagues to explore new ways of activating these spaces.
