ANNOUNCING: ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND GRANT SUPPORTS COVENTRY BIENNIAL 2025
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been successful in securing a National Lottery Project Grant from Arts Council England to support Coventry Biennial 2025!
Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grants is an open access grant programme for arts, libraries and museums projects. The fund supports thousands of individual practitioners, community and cultural organisations and we are pleased to announce that this grant will enable us to support artists, audiences, communities and the art sector through the development and delivery of the 5th Coventry Biennial festival.
Reflecting on the impact of this grant, Paula Orrell (Chair, Coventry Biennial and Director, Contemporary Visual Art Network) says:

This vital support enables us to deepen our commitment to artists, communities, and place ensuring that the Biennial continues to be a powerful catalyst for cultural engagement and creative exchange across Coventry and Warwickshire. As Chair, I’m proud to see the Biennial grow as an inclusive platform for experimentation and dialogue, bringing exceptional contemporary art into public life.”

“Coventry Biennial is a key part of Coventry’s cultural landscape, and we’re proud to support the 2025 festival using £98,000 from the National Lottery. The Biennial will bring outstanding contemporary art to audiences across Coventry and Warwickshire. It’s an ambitious and important platform for creative excellence that champions local, national and international artists, at all stages of their careers. I’m thrilled that local communities will have the opportunity to enjoy, and be inspired by, the very best in visual art on their doorsteps.”
The Coventry Biennial 2025 programme of exhibitions, events and activities will open to the public later this year and will continue into 2026 across Coventry and Warwickshire.
We will begin making detailed announcements about the programme including festival dates, the curatorial theme and overview, and introducing the participating artists, communities and venues as well as highlighting a wide range of ways that you can get involved from the 2nd of June.
