DaDa is dead. Long live DaDa!

On the 2nd July, 31 d/Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent artists will take over 30 museums and galleries across Britain and Northern Ireland as a part of We are Invisible We are Visible a project developed by our friends at DASH, who were awarded the prestigious Ampersand Prize for this innovative and playfully rebellious project.
We are Invisible We are Visible marks the 102nd anniversary of the 1st Dada international exhibition and asks: What if the Dada movement had started in 2020 in lockdown? What would they have done? Is now a timely moment to resurrect the spirit and essence of Dada?
A full list of participating artists and galleries can be found here, and it’s wonderful that so many of our friends and partners are participating including Liverpool Biennial, Ikon Gallery, Nottingham Contemporary, MK Gallery and Turner Contemporary.
Our Artistic Director, Ryan Hughes was on the selection panel for We are Invisible We are Visible and commented that:
“The quality, and sheer number, of applications for this timely project was outstanding and I’m sure that all 31 selected artists will present interventions that are challenging, provocative, creative and insightful, reflecting the true spirit of Dada and our current moment!”
