We’re delighted to publish Sowing Seeds, a report which details the impact and reach of Coventry Biennial 2019. This report can be read, downloaded and shared from here.
Highlights included in the document show that 124,886 people visited our exhibitions, 35% of our audience had never visited Coventry before and 65% of exhibiting artists gained new opportunities as a direct result of participating in Coventry Biennial 2019.
The report includes much more detail around audience engagement and artist satisfaction as well as independent critical reflection on our work by a wide range of writers, artists and academics. Sowing Seeds is also beautifully illustrated with photographs by Marcin Sz, Tegen Kimbley and Emily Jones.
Towards the end of the document we introduce some of the ideas, moments and processes informing the development Coventry Biennial 2021 which will be taking place as a part of the city’s time as UK City of Culture.
